Hi Friends,

Last Week celebration Challenge from Create Something Catchy is the challenge from Pallavi Iyer.

Challenge Theme - Create your own background. It could be on a card, layout or an altered project.  No pattern paper allowed.Use tools like stamps, handmade or commercial stencils, paints, watercolours, texture pastes, embossing or anything else that strikes your fancy and show us your creative experiments.
Here is my card

An easy tutorial for tissue paper textured background

Material required:

1. Tissue paper - 1 no
2. Glue mixed with water
3. Card stock
4. Colours (here i used distress ink)
5. Sponge

1. Apply a thin coat of glue to the cardstock and place the tissue on top, and allow it to wrinkle. Just flatten gently with your hand.

2. I  sponged the distress inks over it, the colours will blend well when it is wet.

3.  Allow it to dry and flatten it under some books to get rid of the curls at the edges. Your textured paper is ready.

I have used textured paste with floral stencils and fixed some quilled flowers to it.

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam

Dear Friends,

This month at Indian Quilling Challenge we have Frame it up as challenge. You need to decorate a frame or make a frame.

My inspiration is quilled photo frame. Photo of a great leader Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and his famous quote printed on it. His smiling face has been fixed in my mind. Luckily I got the same. This photo frame will be in my living room. His smiling face will remind me the unconditional love towards mankind.

Have decorated the glass photo frame with quilled flowers. Hope you all might have kept some photos to be framed, Just do it now and add quilling to it and link it to our challenge at IQCG this month.
