Quilled congrats card

Hi Friends,

This Month at Unstampabelles we have set "OH BABY!" as the challenge

You can create a baby project of some kind or use the phrase to suit! Easter babies, animal babies, human babies........

The TWIST is to make your project fairly non-traditional for babies...

Here is my inspiration to you.

My friend recently delivered a boy baby, thought of making an quilled card for her. Since the spring has sprung, i have added quilled florals to it. Arranged the quilled gate fold card with heart diecuts, punched leaves, Quilled swirls, leaves, pearls, laces etc. the sentiment is hand written.

Got some idea. Rush your entries to Unstampabelles before 1st May AET(australian time)

The Prize you will get from Unstampabelles is a baby suit diecut
Look forward to your entries

Love to link this card to BGC#67 - Spring elements - Flowers

DIY - Paper Quilling earring tutorial

Dear Friends,

This month it is anything goes at Create something Catchy Challenges. Hence no boundaries and no limitations. My inspiration is on tutorial to make quilled earring.

Quilled Earrings are quick and easy to make. To make them waterproof takes a lot of time. But you can create and cherish your friends by creating an earring for them. A few quilling strips and some earring findings are all you need to make these type of quilled earring designs.

It is a very simple tutorial and does not require a quilling tool.

Supplies you would need

1. Quilling strips - 3mm or 5mm - 10 Nos
2. A sketch pen or OHP marker
3. Glue.
4. Basic jewelry making supplies - O rings and fish hooks
5. Beads, mirror to embelish(optional)

Step 1:

Take a single strip and roll over the sketch pen and glue it as shown below

Step 2:

Pinch at one point in the coil to make a tear drop pattern. Repeat step 1 and make 10 Nos of such tear drops.

Step 3:

Attach each tear drops together to form a flower pattern as shown below.
Step 4:

Connect the fish hooks to flower pattern with O rings. Your quilled earring is ready.

Embellish the flower as you like - Beads , mirror, tight coil and coat it with glue and varnish.

Isn't easy to do. You can create any number of quilling earring designs by this method using basic quilling shapes
Would be happy to see your work at CSCC#13.

Happy crafting............................  :)

Special as rose

Dear Friends,

In this month of Spring, i have set Roses as theme at Indian Quilling Challenge Blog. All you have to do is to incorporate a quilled rose in your project,Isn't that easy.

http://indianquillingchallenge.blogspot.in/2015/04/iqcg-15-quilled-rose.html

Roses - With their great beauty, tremendous variety, and luscious scent, it's easy to become passionate about those all-time favorites, roses. In addition to being beautiful flowers for arrangements, roses lend themselves to a wide variety of crafts.

Here is my inspiration over the theme

I have distressed background with water mixed with worn lipstick distress ink and layered using textured paste and stencils. Mounted the card with lace, diecuts, quilled leaves, quilled roses, pearls.

Would like to submit this card to Cardabilities #120
